They Love Us

Yesterday was our first visit to this clinic. I brought my 6 year old Goffin Cockatoo Chance in for a wellness check and nail trim and also to discuss her ongoing feather plucking issues. Dr. Leigh Samanowitz was Amazing as were all the staff. She took her time talking to me about feather plucking issues and Really seemed to care! She started Chance on a medication to help calm her and hopefully help her to stop plucking her Beautiful feathers. Most impressive is…today I received a call from their office to just check up on how Chance was doing on the new medication!! I am super happy with this clinic..A++ ❤

We’ve always had a great experience at University Animal Clinic. The doctors and team are all very knowledgeable and friendly. They get back to you in a timely manner and work with you when it comes to scheduling appointments. They even follow up with you after your visit to make sure that your pet is ok. The office is always clean and they are AAHA accredited. Your pets are in great hands here.

I’m from New Jersey and our dog was hit by a car the day we arrived. The staff at the clinic were amazing. We went to the cliniceget out dog’s stitches out and both JJ (the nurse) and Dr. Sam both sat on the floor to make him feel comfortable. I have never had a vet or staff do that during an appointment. It was so reassuring and made Jay not so nervous. Place is clean and would highly recommend. Thank you!

Dr Sam was very sweet, knowledgable and took the time to explain everything to me. The nurses and front desk staff were wonderful.

There are several Clinics near me so that say it all! Looking for the best care for your pet go no further. Starting with the Staff they are all caring, have excellent listening skills, and properly follow up and the facility is always clean. Dr. Sam (Samanowitz) is extremally caring about all her patients and has excellent communication skill. She is very approachable. When applicable you can count on her getting back to you personally on maters important to YOU and your pet!! One other thing ALL are very pleasant and cheerful making visits all the more stress less.

I took my galah Rosie for a general physical. The staff and vet took the time to show me (as a new bird owner) how to clip nails and wings and what to look for as far as outward signs of her health. Can’t say enough good things about this clinic and would recommend them without any hesitation!

I just moved to Florida, and looking for a veterinarian I came across university animal clinic walking around the plaza so I decided to stop in and get information on the veterinarians, the women at the front desk was so kind and caring, I unfortunately forgot her name. It isn’t a name you hear a lot. Beautiful women had her hair up in a messy bun, this review is for you darling, you made my day, you smiled and greeted me like I was one of your family members, I wish we had more people like you in this world, thank you for taking the time out to speak to me about your services and what you have to offer! I will be coming to see you again and I can’t wait to meet the rest of the staff!

Can’t recommend highly enough!!! The staff is extremely friendly and the Vet is energetic and very knowledgeable and easy to talk to! They work with exotic animals which is a plus! We brought our bearded dragon that formed an abscess and they had her all fixed up in 20 minutes!! They removed the abscess, stitched her up and gave us some antibiotics to help her heal up!

I love Dr. Rill. Our little Cafe had been struggling with an ear infection for almost a year and Dr, Rill never gave up on making her better. I learned so much from him. I love his assistants! They are kind and treat the animals with respect. And, they are kind to us humans as well.

I am, as I have been for a good 20 years, still a satisfied patron of University Animal Clinic. They do their best consistently and take comments to heart and make changes to serve our pets better. I have been there in the past few days due to a our dog’s severe injury and am very pleased with the care he is receiving and how we were educated to take care of him at home until his next visit.

Thank you to Doctor Simonson, Casey, Dr. Sam and the rest of the team for taking care of Wrangler! You all treated him like a pet of your own and made me feel so comfortable leaving him with you to watch over after such a scary incident. Everyone at your office is so knowledgeable and caring. Wrangler is feeling so much better and back to normal. Thank you for all your help, you have an amazing team.

Best EVER!!! Dr. Leigh is fantastic!!! I am moving my dog’s care to her. This is after growing up with the same vet (22 years). She spent time with my dog and did a thorough examination. She took time to discuss treatment plans for her arthritis. Dr. Leigh and the techs are so knowledgeable. My dog was so comfortable! This says a lot since she usually is so afraid and timid. My dog loved everyone in the office which made ME comfortable. I am so glad to have found such a wonderful vet. I feel like my dog is getting the best care possible, now. I would absolutely recommend. Thank you!

I wasn’t holding my breath that a vet would work hard to help diagnose my leopard gecko. I was wrong. The doctor worked hard to diagnose why our pet lizard stopped eating & ran a battery of tests. We were expecting an enormous bill & were pleasantly surprised at how reasonably priced it all was. The office called me to follow up on our lizard’s progress & when I called with questions, Sara was exceptionally kind & patient with us. Would definitely recommend this vet.

Vets and staff are knowledgeable and efficient. Clean and friendly Vet office. My dog now goes in to see her Vet with out balking.

Dr. Fink was just super with the Bruiser on his last visit. The entire staff was attentive, caring and professional. We would highly recommend University Animal Clinic to all who love their pets and want the best care for them.

Even with full covid-19 protection our Basset was well cared for by the staff, I received detailed home care instructions and got a ‘checking on you’ call the next day. Our basset is on the way to revovery. Perfect outcome. Great caring friendly staff.

Met Dr. Sam and Dr. Fink today and was very impressed. We have been a client of University Animal Clinic since it opened with Dr. Rill. My wife and I feel very comfortable with these ladies and plan to keep our relationship with them. The staff and Dr’s are very helpful and friendly. Give them a try, I think you will be impressed.

My dogs, Max and Leo, always have a very positive experience at UAC. The staff is friendly and professional. The office is efficient and clean. I appreciate the ability to check on the dogs’ vaccinations, etc., on the pet portal. Great vet practice.

The entire staff was friendly and professional. Dr. Sam was extremely knowledgeable, kind, and eased my anxiety. Even though I was worried they comforted me, answered all of my questions, and took great care of my fur baby.

It is very difficult to find an avian vet who is kind while not sugar coating what can be bad news. I had no idea conures get cataracts as they get older, helped me understand my bird’s actions. The Dr. is wonderful!

I had an appointment for my conure and they handled it very well and guided me to a better diet even for my bird, thanks so much.

Brought my baby ferret here, Dr. Sam was awesome about letting me ask all of my questions and giving me direct answers (really bothers me when we see a vet for our cats and can’t get clear answers). They gave my little guy his distemper shot and had us wait 15 mins to make sure there was no reaction. I totally forgot to schedule a follow up for the rabies shot, will call in a few days for that. Everyone was gentle with quick with him, so they clearly knew what they were doing. Will definitely recommend for anyone with an exotic.

The staff and doctors were extremely helpful and kind. I feel confident in their ability to diagnose and treat my puppies. I’m so thankful they were referred to me by a friend.

Most caring and helpful Vet ever. The staff are amazing and are so wonderful with all pets. They take amazing care of my two fur babies. I wouldn’t trust my two pups with anyone else. You can really tell how much the love animals. Do your pets the biggest favor and take them to this vet clinic.

By far the best vet I have ever been to! We just moved to the area and by some horrible chance had two pet emergencies in our first month with my pets, Moose and Thor. Not only did they get us in same day.. they were compassionate, understanding, and were honest and fair with pricing which maybe shocked me the most.. Most vets that perform this level of service end up costing an arm and a leg, not University Animal Clinic! Very reasonable charges! They take excellent care of your little family members… the front desk, staff, techs and both veterinarians are first class..If you see this review please do not even consider another vet in the Sarasota area!

Incredibly grateful to the staff of University Animal Clinic. We have been a customer for over 20 years. They were able to take care of our dog Duke today for an unscheduled appointment for UTI. Couldn’t imagine going to anybody else.

Very welcoming right from the moment I made the first appointment. Due to the COVID virus, I could not go in with my cat to see the vet but she called me and we had a great conversation. They took some blood and a few days later the vet called me with the results. I think they take pride in taking care of the animals and being good communicators. So happy I was referred to University Animal Clinic by a friend. My cat, Lola seemed very comfortable and calm which has not always been the case in the past. Lola is going in to get her teeth cleaned in a few weeks and she is very excited about getting her pearly whites in tip top shape! Thank you Dr. Sam and everyone at UAC!

Awesome reptile vet! I thought there was a problem with my bearded dragon so I made an app to bring him in. Dr. Sara was knowledgeable, professional, and down to earth. UAC is clean and doesn’t smell like urine whatsoever. I love coming here and will continue to bring my pets here. I highly recommend this vet. A+ service. Thanks!!!
