The University Animal Clinic was proud to sponsor the annual Divas and Dogs Fundraiser with the Lakewood Ranch Humane Society on March 15th, 2024 at the Lakewood Ranch Country Club.
Susan Giroux, the event's chair, themed this year's event "Summer in Newport" after thinking back on her fond memories of her time in Rhode Island. While it was classic Florida weather outside, the guests were imagining sea breezes, lobsters, clam chowder, and donned coastal outfits with lots of New England-style flair for the fashion show.
There were over 130 silent auction items to bid on and a pay-to-play game that helped raise over $90,000 for the Humane Society. These funds are vital in helping their animals receive the medical care needed to succeed in finding their forever homes.
The University Animal Clinic was thrilled to assist our local humane society in raising these funds to continue their mission of providing animals with the love and care they deserve.
